Dear Potential New Member,
The sisters of Kappa Delta would like to welcome you to the University of Tennessee! Some of the best years of your lives are ahead of you, and we encourage you to make of the most of your time here at UT.
Being involved in the Greek community is a unique experience and a wonderful way to stand out and expose yourself to other campus activities. During recruitment each fall, we look to find outstanding and bright young women to join our sisterhood. Our sisters are seen all over campus in a variety of organizations. From UT Ambassadors to SGA Representatives, you are sure to find a perfect spot for yourself in Kappa Delta.
Throughout your college experience you will not only find lifelong friends in Kappa Delta but true sisters. As the Vice President of Membership, I encourage you to enjoy the recruitment process and hope that you feel comfortable each time you visit our home. Please feel free to contact Panhellenic Affairs if you have any questions.
Our sisters look forward to meeting you in August!
Love in AOT,
Megan Morgan, Vice President - Membership

Recommendation letters are due August 11th!
Go Greek: The first round of recruitment is when all potential new members have the opportunity to meet all 13 chapters on UTK's campus. The long and hectic day is worth it to meet the members of each sorority, and you get more of an insight about what Greek Life at UTK is all about.
Philanthropy: Philanthropy round is very important to Kappa Delta, as potential new members will learn about our philanthropies, Girl Scouts of the USA and Prevent Child Abuse America. We are extremely hands on with our philanthropies and our platform of confidence, and love sharing our experiences with potential new members.
Sisterhood: Sisterhood round is all about a typical "day in the life" of a new member in a sorority. Potential new members will learn all about finances, academics, social, and sisterhood activities that Kappa Deltas are involved with. A short video presentation will also be shown showing videos of sisters studying abroad, participating in outside organizations, and various social and sisterhood events throughout the school year.
Preference: Preference round is an extremely special round, as you get a glimpse of Kappa Delta's ritual. During preference, we want each potential new member to know how special it was to get to know them as sisters share their memorable and touching experiences while they have been in the chapter.
Bid Day: On the last day of recruitment week, potential new members will receive an invitation to join a sorority. We want each new member to know how ecstatic we are to accept them into our chapter and celebrate them after a long week!
